I feel like a brand new parent … again! 9 months ago we gave birth to WE Magazine for Women and now we have a new blog to add to our family! And it is very exciting. Not only is the blog new for the Magazine, its new for me. Although I have been blogging since January, this is my first attempt at a WordPress blog. And it is such fun!
So many great features and so exciting to learn a new platform. And the best part is that I can share it with the world! There are always many people to thank when a new project gets off the ground.
So first and foremost I must thank Heidi Caswell of Connect Simply for designing this blog, getting it online and helping me take my “first steps” in this great new world. I am excited and hope to enjoy “growing up” in the blogosphere with each and every one of you.
Heidi is the consumate professional, so congenial and easy to work with. Most importantly, she “gets me” (may have something to do with sharing the same first name). She completely understood what I wanted WE Magazine to look like and made it happen. And when it comes to patience, let’s just say, she has a lot more than I do. I was back in the “labor room” pushing and pushing and like any newborn, this blog came out when it was good and ready! And talk about over-delivering! Heidi created this blog, uploaded it, gave me a tour and showed me the “back end” so I could start blogging now. Thank you, Heidi!
Everyone needs a cheerleader and I have several. However, Gina Aronoff, my office manager cheers the loudest! She sits across from me and has to listen to my all my trials, tribulations and triumphs – and she is there to celebrate with me. Reminds me it’s time for champagne… be right back. I gotta order the cigars to pass out too – they will be chocolate and say “It’s a Girl!”
Seriously, though (okay, not really) Gina has been with me for almost 19 years and has put up with a lot – and I got to raise her without all the pains of delivery!
And then there’s Suzannah Richards, my business partner and Tech Goddess with the WECAI Network ™ – also my youngest daughter. She is the brains behind our organization. I could not do what I do without her.
I also wish to say thanks to all the editors who have written for us in the past and all who will in the future. You are what make this magazine such a success. WE Magazine is truly for the Total Woman!
However, it’s our members and “circle” that make up this great organization. Without which this would not be possible. Thanks to each and every one of you. Those of you who have been with us since our inception and those of you who just joined us. We are delighted to be a part of your lives.
