Tell us about your business.
Clicking In is a nonprofit focused on thought leadership and the exchange of ideas in the South Florida area. Our goal is to bring together an influential community to transform and energize change for women.
Palm Beach Purses is a privately held company based in Jupiter, Florida, since 2003, started by Lani Click, the owner and designer. Lani designs purses for the fashionista in all of us! Visit our collections and enjoy our world of chic purses.
Eco-Chic Purses offers the environmentally friendly shopper, fashionable, chic, trendy, purses created from recycled fabrics.
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
Both of my grandfathers were entrepreneurs and built successful family businesses. One was in manufacturing and the other in advertising. He was inducted into the NJ Advertising Hall of Fame for his contribution to that profession.
What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
One is developing the Clicking In Forum for thought leadership and the exchange of ideas for women. And, another is being recognized by several groups across the country for my “green fashion” environmentally friendly purses.
What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?
Our choices define us. Be charitable. Donate to your favorite causes. Ignite, inspire, and mentor young people. Share your ideas, wisdom, and enthusiasm. Explore the fun side of work. Passion and a wise heart result in a meaningful life. And, remember to have reverence for the earth and its resources.
What has been the most effective marketing initiatives or programs you have used to promote your business?
Having websites has allowed me to do social media forums for women as well as separate websites for Palm Beach Purses and Ecochic Purses.
What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
To explore and follow through on every single opportunity no matter what size
Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
The resources that I use are social media networks like Facebook and Linkedin, and several blogs from my websites.
Do you have any new projects coming up?

What do you do for fun/relaxation?
I make awesome paninis, go to Zumba class, and grow herbs and tomatoes.
What is Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
Our goal is to continue to make more business connections for women.
You want to write a book on how to have fun (fill in the blank and feel free to explain).
A lot of people are too serious and too negative, and it’s important to let your creativity flourish to allow you to be happy and free.
