"Project Purple"“Of the 1.3 billion people in poverty globally, seventy percent are women. Economic empowerment is central to achieving development goals and gender equality. Increasing the number of women in leadership positions combined with creative political and socio-economic solutions will have a significant impact on the well-being of women around the world.” Paula A. Color the World Purple… one project at a time

"The Mangrove Maiden by L.A. Peterson"

L.A. Peterson original canvas created to support Project Purple. "The Mangrove Maiden represents the creator in all of mankind. She is rooted yet adaptable, strong yet graceful, leaving behind the past looking towards the future and bringing beauty and hope upon her being. Project Purple aims to bring all maidens of this world assistance to become the best they can be. Their mission inspired a vision I embraced as the canvas was transformed into a magnificent creation." L.A. P

The goal of Project Purple is to graphically “color the world purple” demonstrating our universal strength and support for the empowerment and economic advancement of women and girls. By connecting donors and volunteers with organizations and projects that need support, we will provide critical assistance for programs that empower women and girls.

Project Purple will be the platform from which like-minded individuals and socially conscious professionals can create and implement new initiatives that are solution-based. Together we will join together the world’s best programs, creative initiatives and strategies to empower women and girls.

Project Purple consists of the following initiatives…

Purple List: An online portal for women’s nonprofit and non-governmental organizations to list projects in need of volunteer, in-kind and financial support to be successful.

Each program or initiative on the Purple List will have successfully identified or have a proven track record in eroding barriers to women and girl’s economic empowerment and advancement. The Project Purple Global Advisory Council will review applicants to the Purple List for their use of best practices, successful project implementation and financial sustainability.

Project Purple Fund: A platform for connecting socially conscious donors with projects that are inspiring and need help to advance the economic empowerment of women and girls in their community.

The Project Purple Fund will harness the power of individuals to come together to connect the dots and make a large impact on the lives of women and girls. Through the Project Purple Fund, individual donations of $10, $20, $50 or more will be pooled together and added to proceeds from independent fundraising events/campaigns hosted in conjunction with the Project Purple Global Advisory Council to fund specific projects submitted by Purple List organizations.
