Terroir

Ever wonder what the term terroir means? A winemaker once explained it like this to me…

It’s the perfect combination of elements…the right soil composition, the right moisture, the right temperatures at the right times, and the right amount of sun. This combination of conditions is what the French call terroir.

The French add one more component…the people who care for the vines.

Makes sense to me…
