Tell us about your business.
JR Designs is a graphic design firm that specializes in logo design, print design, and website development.  We enjoy helping our clients project the right image while communicating a clear message for their company.  Our designs are innovative and unique for each client, so that they always command the top position in their market.

Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
To be a business owner and entrepreneur means that I can choose who I work with, what I work on, and where I work from.  The ability to choose who and what comes into my life is an invaluable tool for me to keep the creative juices flowing and remain the positive person I am.
 
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
I would have to say myself.  I have always been a free-spirit and very independent.  So the idea of making my own goals and achieving them in my profession has been a huge driver for me.

What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
I would have to say my greatest professional accomplishment to date would be creating and starting JR Designs.  To take my dream and make it a reality is something that makes me very proud.

What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?
The best advice I have received is to ‘go big’!  Go big with your business.  Don’t hold back.

What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
I have learned to let go of the little things.  There are only 24 hours in the day, within those hours you must sleep, eat, work, and have some fun.  You can’t build a business all in one day, so don’t fool yourself to think you can. Keep a balance with your professional and personal life.

Strategic Trans4mations networking and business coaching.  CEO, Ashley Lewis, has personally helped me develop my business to be successful today and in years to come.  I recommend her to any business owner to advance to the next level in their business.

What is Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
Within the next year, I look forward to expanding my business with more designers and a sales staff.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Having your own business is a great challenge, work hard and smart.  If you make a mistake, learn from it but keep moving, don’t stop.  And remember to enjoy the ride, it is a lot of fun if you let it!
