Donna Amos of Infinite Possibilities Coaching; International Association of Solopreneurs and Simple Marketing Pro

Tell us about your business.
As you can see, I have three businesses.  Each one supports the solo business owner with growing their business.  Specifically my coaching practice helps solo business owners learn to love sales and marketing and the result is they put marketing strategies in place that allows them to close more business in a much less stressful manner.  The IAS is for the experienced owner who only needs resources or the new business owner who needs the training and support, including coaching at a very affordable price.

Finally, Simple Marketing Pro will actually launch in June and it is an online application that allows the solo business owner to identify their income goals, select the marketing strategies that supports those goals and then presents them with the action steps they need to take including emailing them when they have something to do.

The bottom line my business focus is all about supporting the solo business owner make more sales in a systematic manner.

My target market is solo business owners (service based professionals)

Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
Being a business owner means I am in control of my destiny.  Whether I soar like and eagle or fall flat on my face I am responsible.  I began my first business when I was in my early 20’s.  I believe the freedom to do things my way is what truly attracts me.  And I continue because I am inspired by my clients and their achievements.  There is nothing that is more gratifying than helping someone else create the success they want.

What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
Two men really had the greatest influence on me.  The first was a client in 1988, Ron Wiley, President of Chief Executive and he expressed great confidence in my abilities to support his company.  The second gentlemen was Robert Stanley, President of Coldwell Banker West Shell, he also expressed confidence in my training and coaching and I learned how to be a great trainer from him.

What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
I have worked with 100’s of small business owners to grow their businesses over the last 20 years.  As a professional I experienced the most personal growth through completing my coach training with International Coaches Academy.

What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?
You must be very specific with your target market, take consistent action and never give up.

What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
Actually, I have two:  No is not no forever, only today. And. Do not be attached to the outcome things never turn out exactly as we imagine them, be willing to be flexible.

Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you succeed?
I recommend two books: Think and Grow Rich and The E-Myth Revisited.  The other thing I recommend is that business owners have some kind of support structure, mentor, coach or mastermind.

What is Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
Supporting 1000’s of solo business owners with Simple Marketing Pro.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Learn how to not take NO personally and consistently take action.  Do not get lost in the easy stuff that eats up your time.  You must have at least one conversation every day with a potential client.
