Coming on the heels of a weekend excursion of the Gullah Geechee Island hosted by Elder Carle Towne Minister of Public Information for the Gullah Geechee Nation, the Sisters in Harmony is on the move once again this time to Miami Florida for the First Annual South Florida Bonanza, July 22- 24, 2011, for a 2day power weekend of learning, spirituality, health and fitness.
The weekend will kick off on Friday with an empowering speech by Lorna Owens Author, Life Coach and Legal Analyst at CNN, followed by an evening of music with legendary jazz musician Joan Cartwright.. Saturday is comprised of a host of events from fitness classes, music and health seminars, beginning with Fitness Guru Egean “Abs Doc Colins who will host a fitness session for women to get in shape; “Soke” Harris
Warren will teach women the fundamentals of Self-Defense; Edna S. Warren will speak about Health & Nutrition; and licensed massage therapist Jonathan Moore will give massages in between breaks. Be sure to pack a lunch because Madafo.com the story teller will keep you entertained during the lunch break withhis storytelling. There will also be a presentation by Dr. Myra J. Miller, Ph.D., Yoga Segment, Holistic Health Practitioner and from 7 – 10pm the book Expo opens up with 8 confirmed authors will join in a dialogue facilitated by Tami A. Phillips and read segments from their books.

SIH current project- “My Vote is My Voice” PHOTO SHOOT will take place throughout the day from 9 am – 6 pm, by famed International Photographer Edmund Umoja Herman, President and Founder of Sisters in Harmony, There is a nominal cost for the event in which proceeds will go towards the SIH Foundation.

About Sister In Harmony: Sisters in Harmony- is an Economic Networking Organization (E.N.O.) founded by Ed Herman, as a tribute to his mother. His vision was to unify women across the globe under one accord—a photograph projecting positive images of women back into the community. Using today’s social networks, technology, and a camera, he stepped out on faith and began reaching out to women to become a part of this photo. His initial goal was to gather 100 women.
