"Fourth of July Pasta"A simple yet tasty recipe from Big Chef – 4th of July Pasta!

Here’s all you need to make this dish (a real crowd please’r for those who don’t want to barbeque). Good anytime of the year…

4th of July Pasta


*4 fresh large red tomatoes peeled, cut in 4-6 pieces each

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

1 bunch fresh basil

1 cup extra virgin olive oil

Mix all ingredients together and let it sit for one hour.

pour over 1 lb. cooked hot fetuccine (or the pasta of your choice – cooked as per instructions on package)

Let sit for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.


Add roasted pine nuts and/ or shrimp.

Can also substitute red tomatoes for yellow

Tip: the easiest way to peel tomatoes is poaching in boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
