About the Company Founder/President
Kara Turner Newmark is a female entrepreneur helping to make the world a better place! As a law school graduate, she has worked with multiple venture-backed companies, consulted for high-tech and biotech companies, and was the COO in the healthcare industry. Her most recent adventure is creating the DIY cookie and cake decorating company, Sweetology. Sweetology was created because Kara followed her heart, chased what made her happy, and used her skills and experience to get it done.
About the Product
Sweetology opened its first store in 2014 and subsequently built two more in the St. Louis area with an eye on franchising the concept. The 3rd store was completed as the franchise proto-type March of 2020 but one week later had to close its stores due to the pandemic. Without missing a step, founder Kara Newmark reimagined the business as an e-commerce model and now 2 years later, Sweetology has shipped over 10,000+ kits nationwide!
