Tell us about your business (what product or service you provide and who your target audience is)
My small business is a Faith-Based Production Company. I produce stage plays and films and my audience are promoted to everyone. Also I am the owner of NSpire Christian Magazine which I started in July 2020 produced quarterly. My guests are from all over the world from Ministers, Authors, Life Coaches , Business Owners and people all over with testimonial and deliverance stories. My podcast show initially named “Spiritually Speaking” with Tamala Coleman gained a great audience for over 3 years . I have recently renamed the show to “Amazing Grace” with Tamala Coleman which now airs on TalkZone Radio once a month.
Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
I wanted to start a local production company as a way to show the community through the vision of stage plays. This is my platform that God has allowed me to use to spread the Gospel. My business is precious and I don’t take it for granted. I am proud to give back and to provide people with great performances that are faith-based, true-life stories and funny and humorous. My magazine Nspire opens up many doors for readers to share many stories and their journey’s and I’m glad to share with the world.
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
My Family has been my greatest influence. My family has been the cornerstone that pushed me as I proceeded to start my business. It was a dream of mine and my family has been my top support and greatest influence.
What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
My greatest accomplishment is knowing that my life touches the lives of others. I have been able to achieve, meet and link with people I never thought I would meet and develop lasting relationships with.
What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?
The best advice I can share is to follow your passion and the rest will come. Be patient with yourself as you strive to grow your business. Believe that you can do anything you put your heart to.
What has been the most effective marketing initiatives or programs you have used to promote your business?
I have found that word of mouth, social media and contacts are the best marketing initiatives for me. Also network as much as possible and don’t be afraid to help others on the journey. If you’ve ever talked to anyone in business, you know that the name of the game is Branding. The idea is to get your name out in front of as many people as you can, as often as you can, in the hope that the name of your product or business will stick in their minds and they will invest in whatever it is you are offering. I promote through my magazine NSpire and podcast show “Amazing Show” with Tamala Coleman which now airs once a month on TalkZone Radio Network. This has turned things around for me in my business.
What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
I have learned to never compare myself to other businesses that are similar to what I’m doing. I strive to be unique i?n my own way.
You must be persistent and at best persevere even through failures and trust God even through the toughest times. Trust the process.
Do you have any new projects coming up? If so, please tell us about it.
Yes, as a Best Seller Author I have many projects ahead. Currently preparing to produce another stage play ” Redemption” for the summer of 2021. Also the film based on the stage play hopefully by 2022. Also the release of my ninth book was released this year which is a collaboration of Authors “
What do you do for fun/relaxation?
Believe it or not, my relaxation is writing, that’s my solace, but I do love to watch movies with my family often.
What is the Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
My goal is to continue to strive to help others in the acting field, connect with other businesses within the Performance business, radio and Magazine Opportunities.
You want to write a book on… Forgiveness.
I would love to write a book about forgiveness without forgiveness. We often miss our full potential and blessings that can manifest in our lives because we hold on to things we should let go. I would love to write a book about forgiveness and letting go. (fill in the blank and feel free to explain).
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Whatever your goals, dreams, ambitions, and gifts are, do it all to the Glory of God and give back as much as possible and you will reap the benefits.
