9 Year Business Veteran Paige Valdiserri is this week’s WE Magazine for Woman in Business. Here’s her “story.”
Tell us about your business.
I am an International Traumatic Stress and Intuitive Healing Consultant and Coach, a board certified expert in Traumatic Stress. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Subconscious Restructure coach, Biodynamic Craniosacral Trauma Therapist, Master Reiki Teacher, Kundalini Yoga teacher and intuitive healer. I work with clients and organizations, suffering or recovering from chronic stress and trauma due to war zone episodes, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, medical or chronic illness, personal traumas, sex-trafficking, genocide or intense professional or corporate settings. I have a specialty in working with first responder communities and girls and women with cumulative trauma of varying cultures, both stateside and international.
I am also Director of Behavioral Health for the international occupational health firm, Comprehensive Health Services Inc. I developed and managed the firm’s first (holistic) behavioral health department for its domestic and international contracts, including support for the military, government contractors and family support for those deployed.
I collaborate and cross-train with physicians, chiropractors, and integrative holistic practitioners around the country to integrate this approach into the medical field.
Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
I wanted to create a model of healing, empowerment, integration of east meets west, without the stigma and diagnosis of mental conditions. I teach patients to align with their bodies through physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic properties, by releasing trauma from the body, its fluids, musculoskeletal system, while simultaneously restructuring negative thoughts and beliefs once associated with the trauma. It actually allows one to reconnect to a body once detached from its wholeness and create space for recovery and healing.
It is beyond fulfilling to have the opportunity to create something that helps people in many ways and to have the opportunity to teach others in order to spread the word.
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
My greatest influence in business have been the challenges, lessons, leaps of faith and the myriad of people I have worked for, with, watched and learned throughout my life.
What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
I created Energetic Body Dialogue(SM), a treatment that enables one to connect fully with mind and body. EBD restores individuals to a healthy, functioning state, by releasing trauma from the body while simultaneously restructuring the thoughts and beliefs once associated with the trauma. EBD allows those suffering or recovering from chronic stress and trauma to find relief on physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic levels. It is based on the principle that stress, trauma, and life-changing personal events become lodged not only in the mind (subconscious), but also throughout the body such as the fluids, musculoskeletal system and ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) to name a few.

I have just published my first book Messages From the Edge: Paigeisms for Transformational Healing. I wrote the book to reach anyone who has suffered from, or is struggling with, life’s challenges. It is a book to ponder, contemplate, peel away the layers with each new reading a deeper insight and perspective into ‘self’. I wanted to remind everyone that they are not alone. Messages from the Edge addresses challenges inherent in every life—from trauma, health issues, uncertainty, loss, to everyday stressors and the ongoing journey of self-growth and reflection—with Paigeisms. Paigeisms is a word coined by my clients. In my work with clients, I would write them affirmations on colorful sticky notes. I encouraged them to place these mantras by their bedsides, bathroom mirrors or anywhere else they would be seen, so that they could serve as daily guides and validations, and often as lifelines. As clients began to give these affirmations a name, they all coined the same name — Paigeisms. And Paigeisms they became—so named by the very people they were designed to help.
What do you do for fun/relaxation?
I love the outdoors as nature is very healing for the soul and the body. I like to powerwalk, hike, bike-ride and swim. I have a practice of meditation and yoga as well. I love the theater, movies, taking art classes (even though I am a beginner) and trying new things that are presented to me. I like to live life and jump right in!!!
What is Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
I want to change the face of how we see and utilize behavioral health. I intend to offer EBD training/certification to behavioral health providers, to integrate into their current approaches.
I’m also in the works to open up an integrated healing and training center in Tucson, where I live, with a focus on first responder communities and their unique needs to include their families, and the ongoing front lines of traumatic stress and high-stake situations.
It will be a multi-theoretical model, combining various Holistic and Energetic Health modalities, designed to meet organizational, departmental, gender specific and individual and family needs.
You want to write a book on … Paigeisms!
And I did it – see above!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’ve been on both sides of the coin: patient and therapist/healer/coach. I experienced many on-going life challenges, intense corporate work settings and personal traumatic experiences both as a child and an adult.
I know what it is like to walk in many shoes of life-changing personal events, cumulative trauma, isolation, distress, fear and anxiety, PTSD, powerlessness and the effects it has on the physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual body. I know how to transform these challenges into self-growth, personal fulfillment, and alignment with one’s purpose and to help one keep from living in a place of fear, but rather from trust.
