Meet Nicole Rouse – Founder/ Creator of ReVive Organic Beauty – Woman in Business
Tell us about your business.
We are a Wisconsin based skincare company and create farm-to face formulas that are certified organic. This means that ALL of the products have 100% certified organic ingredients in their formulations, a traditional “organic” line usually has 70% organic ingredients in their products.
Our exceptional formulas rely on premium natural ingredients, active botanicals, and some of the most advanced new plant-derived cosmeceuticals. Every ingredient is hand selected to ensure it comes from natural, sustainable, organic and wildcrafted sources.
Our mission is to offer a clean approach to preventative and anti-aging without using harsh actives, chemicals, dyes, fragrance or parabens. Vegan- No Animal. Testing.
It takes 26 seconds for chemicals in your products to enter your bloodstream, we know if you are eating clean, and leading a clean lifestyle- your products need to be 100% clean too.
What makes our brand so unique is our Vino Red Wine anti-aging line, we know this demographic is always looking for the latest and greatest products to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles. incorporating Red Wine extract into our products has many health factors, just like it does when you drink a glass of red wine. Red Wine helps create a barrier on your skin to protect it from UV- Rays, it helps to boost the moisture levels in the skin, and also creates an instant glow to dull skin- just to name a few things!
We sell to consumers and to licensed Salons and Spa’s in the USA-
Please tell us what being a business owner means to you and why you became an entrepreneur in the first place?
Creating my own line has always been a dream and passion since I started in the industry over 20 years ago. I think as a business owner and entrepreneur the most important thing you can do is get a lot of experience in the industry, and on all sides of the business from every angle.
I knew there was a strong need for a skincare line that was certified organic, but also had proven results without using harsh chemicals. Being a entrepreneur, I know the most important thing is educating people on skincare, the ingredients and why choosing a clean line is so beneficial for your health.
What or who has been your greatest influence in business and why?
I think every company I have worked for along the way has influenced me in some way, shape or form. You always take something away from each experience, this is why experience is SO crucial as an entrepreneur- whether you’ve had good or bad experiences.
What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
Launching my skincare line and having consumers giving me positive feedback is really rewarding. I love educating and helping consumers see results.
What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?
The best advice I have received was to follow your passion, if you don’t believe in yourself, no one will. Someone also said to me, most people don’t like to see people succeed in life, they will try to bring you down, so keep your ideas to yourself until you are ready to launch your brand
What has been the most effective marketing initiatives or programs you have used to promote your business?
I’m a firm believer in having a strong social media presence and creating networking groups in your community.
What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
The importance or building relationships over the years with everyone in the business and to understand every industry no matter how big, is really small- eventually everyone knows everyone and you need to maintain healthy relationships with your industry professionals.
Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
I believe creating a Women’s networking group is really important! I like the idea or sharing success stories and failure stories with other small business owners, we always find new ways to market our business and help each other out etc…
Do you have any new projects coming up?
We just launched our bodyline and will be expanding with new products this year.
What do you do for fun/relaxation?
I am a mom and wife, so I love to spend time with the family and make quality time to spend with my friends.
What is Number One Business Goal you plan to accomplish over the next year?
My goal this year is to expand into destination resorts across the US
