Mary Clare Hunt is a sales/business development consultant, and activist for the eco- and socially-responsible consumers. She is an expert in how women influence the market and a big believer in “Purse String Theory,” what resonates with female consumers will vibrate across the global economy.
Mary has talked to over 1000 manufacturing marketing departments and walked as many factories. In 2006 she wrote the visionary book, In Women We Trust: A Turn to the Softer Side of Business and since then conducted research on the impact of sustainable product standards while authoring over 500 blog posts covering the intersection of women’s issues and sustainable practices.
She was instrumental in the branding and re-launch of Womego.com (a unified women’s publication site) early in 2011. Since then she turned the blog, InWomenWeTrust.com into an all female speaker’s bureau with the help of co-founder Marianne Richmond. She hopes to expand the group to 100 speakers and offer workshops to those who want to want to be like them.
Mary enjoys working with those inspiring consumers and businesses to co-create a sustainable economy. She lives online and grows a variety of heritage tomatoes with her husband in Orange County, Ca.
