Meet WE’s Editor of the Month for February

"teresa morrow"Meet Teresa Morrow, President of Key Business Partners

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your writing career.

My work is revolved around reading and writing. I work with authors and writers to help them with their online book promotion through blogging, book reviews and author interviews. I began this work about 3 years ago when I had the honor of working with co-authors to help get the word out about their book. I enjoyed the work so much I focused my business around it. And I have loved the art and business of writing for a long time. Being a part of the WE Magazine for Women “family” allows me the honor of continuing to be around wonderful writers and authors who share their expertise and knowledge with others through their writing.

When did you first discover you enjoyed writing?

I have had a love for writing since I was in middle school and took my first creative writing course. I was so fascinated with the idea of being able to form sentences with words that would evoke emotions, bring on memories and even create new ones.

What are your favorite topics to write about?

I enjoy writing about writing itself, just the journey of it. I love finding just the right words I want to write. I love writing about the things that help others—-book marketing, book promotion, author resources, the publishing industry. I also host guest bloggers and author interviews on my blog too, which I love to do to help authors learn from others in the same industry.

What do you enjoy about writing for WE Magazine for Women?

WE Magazine for Women allows the writer to offer different topics of interest to women, from business life, spiritual growth and health and wellness.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am currently working on completing my first nonfiction business book on the work I do: online book promotion.

Also in the works is another book (and I am going back and forth) on whether it will be a fiction or nonfiction about relationships and how one decision doesn’t have to mean the end of a relationship because someone doesn’t agree with the decision.

What’s next for you?

My goal is to have the online book promotion book out by the end of March 2011. And the other book hopefully will have done by Father’s Day 2011. Also, I am continuing my work helping authors and writers spread the word to the world about their books.

Tell us about the services/products you offer.

I offer online book promotion services such as virtual book tours, social media marketing, author/book profile listings, article marketing and blog/website analysis.

What do you do for fun/relaxation?

I do enjoy cooking (one of my favorite channels is Food Network). I enjoy exercising (yoga, aerobics, weights). And I enjoy reading magazines (some of my favorites are Family Circle, Food Network, Writer’s Digest and of course, WE Magazine) or books (too many to mention) with a hot cup of green tea in hand. And lounging around watching a movie or playing a game with my family.

What question would you like to answer that has not been asked?

What is the one online book promotion tip you would like to share with our readers?

Know who your target market is for your book because this will help you as you begin to market your book.

Another thing is I would like to offer is authors can start promoting their book as soon as you start writing your book. You don’t have to (and it is harder if you) wait until your book is published to start marketing/promoting.

  1. Hi Teresa,
Your business sounds fascinating. I’m about to put out a free ebook then work on a “real” book. I’m very glad I received this information today.
