WHERE GIRLS ARE KNITTING AND CROQUETING CAPS TO DONATE TO CANCER CENTERS
Knots of Love collaborates with Agano with Kenya to help cancer patients – Knots of Love, a registered 501c3 charity that provides hand knit and crocheted caps for those who are fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, has expanded to Africa, where girls are knitting and crocheting caps to donate as part of their community service.
“It has been exciting to work with Agano with Kenya and watch the project unfold,” explained Christine Fabiani Shively, Founder of Knots of Love. “We will be able to help many more patients suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses across the nation with the caps being donated by the girls in Kenya.”
With the help of Lion Brand Yarn, Knots of Love donated skeins of yarn, as well as crochet hooks, to Agano with Kenya for this project. The caps will arrive back in the states and will be donated to Knots of Love’s 355 cancer treatment centers across the United States and abroad.
