Do you feel a compulsion to act in a certain way? Do you abuse food, cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol? Do you feel depressed, down, low on energy? Do you have a constant struggle with your health?
Most people would choose to improve their lives, improve their health, improve their abundance index, and improve their outlook. What can we do to adapt the path or energy flow for our lives?
First – we can examine our strengths and weaknesses. Make a list, and then rate them top to bottom. A weakness wins if it is the most weak. Any category that pops up in your mind is appropriate. If you feel comfortable, ask for a little tender feedback in case you are missing an area.
Second – Rate your top 3 weak areas, and decide what you can do about them. Make sure and take into account the feelings that compel you to practice your addictions. What feelings in your body start the cycle of your addictive or negative behavior? What emotions are triggers for you?
Third – Make a plan. How are you going to deal with your stress and anxiety now? Chunk your needs into concrete steps. Don’t be afraid of any area to work on. Don’t be afraid to get help.
Fourth – Find out who and what your resources are. There is help for everyone that wants it, in any area. You can find a self-help group, a chat room on the Internet, a buddy in your life, maybe even your Mom or sister. Choose a therapist carefully. You want to feel comfortable and safe.
Fifth – Be nice to yourself. Celebrate the little victories. Give yourself a gift at significant steps of progress. For some of you, reading this article deserves a celebration!
Sixth – Learn about Feng Shui and Energy in your life. Learn what colors will help you to achieve your goals. Find out if your bed is facing the wrong direction for you to reach your career and health goals. Pick up the pointers that will help you, but don’t get stressed about something new. Put everything in balance in your life.
Seventh – Learn about Yoga, Aromatherapy, Massage, and other methods to help you to feel good. There are so many wonderful ways that you can help yourself that are easily available now. You can probably take a Yoga class right in your town or neighborhood. There might be a massage school that charges just a small fee so that the students can practice on you. How great is that?
Eighth – Check in with your doctor. Many times we don’t feel quite right, and we have a small or large medical problem that we may not even know about. Get a clean bill of health with regular check-ups. Get your yearly screenings for your age group, and be smart about your health.
Finally – Pray for guidance, pray for perseverance, and pray for healing. Understand that you deserve a better life. If you need help believing that, it should be on your list. You might already have a belief system, or a religious orientation. Consider learning to communicate with and receive help from the Healing Angels that are available to everyone no matter what spiritual training they have had.
We help people achieve their goals through Energy Psychology techniques every day. During their session in the office with us, or on the phone or the Internet, we teach them things that they can do for themselves. Perhaps you would benefit from Meditation, Self-Hypnosis, or the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
For all of these techniques, you need to have your goals clearly defined. Specifically how do you want to feel better? What changes do you need to see in your life?
Meditation and Guided Hypnosis – Spend 5-30 minutes a day learning to release your mental processes and let go. Find a cd or tape that you can relate to with music or guided meditations recorded on them. Try to use the same time every day, and get a comfortable spot. Some people teach that performing gentle physical exercise before and after meditation can be very beneficial. Every time you go into a trance state with meditation and/or hypnosis, you become more adept at achieving a greater sense of relaxation. As you learn to let go, you will be able to be more and more open with your natural intuition, and more able to learn about your own spiritual path. Prayer is a form of meditation. Don’t be afraid that meditation will take you away from your religion, it can only enhance your experiences.
Self Hypnosis – If you can practice self-hypnosis, then you have the opportunity to change almost anything in your life. There are many schools of thought on self-hypnosis. Read a book, take a class, or develop your own style. Here is a suggestion if you would like to get started right away. Simply write out 3 positive change phrases in the present tense as if they are already accomplished. Determine your special place to go in your imagination – it could be the beach, a meadow, a cloud, or another planet for that matter. Develop this place through your imagination so that it is very personal, very rich in detail, and you can immediately get there whenever you desire. As you calm down your breathing so that you are very relaxed, imagine that you can travel to this special spot on a moment’s notice. While you are there, imagine that you see a movie screen in front of you, and put up each of your 3 phrases one at a time. With each phrase, see yourself in a scene with the desired outcome already achieved. Make the sound, pictures, and details bright and realistic. Feel yourself with the goals already met. When you have done all 3 phrases, check to see if you need to do them again. You might repeat each one 3 times to get results even faster. To change a habit, you need to repeat this process daily for 21 days. You should start seeing results even faster.
Ceremonies – You might enjoy a traditional church or prayer service. You might like to explore new religious groups in your area. At our center, we offer group meditations and support groups during the New Moon, and the Full Moon. Being aware of the effect of the stars and the movement of heavenly bodies may help you in your path. Whatever you decide, get connected with safe and supportive people. Connect to a higher power. Connections will help you to heal your life.

There are so many ways to heal your life. Connect with others. Clear the blockages that have been affecting you. Bring more love into your life. Choose to be happier and healthier. Get help and get new supportive friends. Get closer to God. Whatever it takes, you can do it!
