Nicole Odom-Hardnett, CEO of Focus Point Solutions is today’s featured woman in business interview.
This is her story
Focus Point Solutions, LLC dba Focus Point Behavioral Health, founded by Nicole Odom Hardnett, provides the full spectrum of behavioral health services for all populations, which operates in Baltimore and surrounding towns.
Each Focus Point Behavioral Health clinic offers intensive outpatient and outpatient substance use treatment; mental health therapy for adults, children, adolescents, and families; supportive employment services; and other programs.
The backstory of Nicole is quite powerful as she knew from early on in her life, she was meant for something big. Intuitively, she always knew she would be a leader and had intentions of becoming a business owner. Upon the completion of her Master’s Degree and directing the operations of other health organizations; she saw a huge need on how to best serve her community and truly make an impact:

Venturing into the Behavioral Health industry came naturally to Nicole with her compassionate drive. By naming her company, “Focus Point Solutions,” it allowed her to start as transitional homes than to assisted living which gradually grew into Substance Use and Mental Health Clinic. Throughout my business’ trajectory, it is evident the intention was to focus on transitioning into deeper layers of this field.
Through her deep dive of therapy and personal development, Nicole was able to successfully combine her knowledge, expertise, and entrepreneurial experience to launch new projects. The first being “Talk to Nicole,” a coaching consultancy dedicated to healthy relationships, specifically in blended families. The complicated dynamics occurring in a blended family require special understanding from someone who has firsthand experience. Her family structure consists of seven children and one grandson which allows her to relate to clients who struggle to build meaningful connections under these unique circumstances.
In truly understanding what has been lacking for some of her clients, she designed a supportive community for women who want to succeed further in all aspects. Savvy Sisters Society is a collective where professional family women come together and hold space for one another. On February 8th, 2022, they will be hosting their first live online summit covering a multitude of hard-hitting topics not discussed enough. Nicole pushes the norm and comfort levels in order to help clients achieve their desired goals.
It reflects on her main business, Focus Point Solutions where she works hand in hand with people who struggle with substance-use disorders, mental health issues, and abusive relationships. Through all aforementioned projects, it is evident that she has a gift at raising her voice to destigmatize addiction, anxiety, depression, and other diagnoses that are too often ignored or denied. She not only brings forth attention and awareness, her entire life is dedicated to serve and uplift communities at large.
By doing so, her company has grown exponentially by serving several locations and on its way to franchising. This opportunity will equip those keen on growing a behavioral health clinic with a survival guide, business roadmap, and anyone who wants to give back to their community at large. Nicole and her team of professionals will be providing hands-on training at one of their local facilities based in Baltimore and surrounding areas and oversee ongoing regulatory maintenance.
