In July WE Magazine hosted a Cover Story Competition among women around the globe. We asked women to submit their stories of triumph, business acumen and personal challenges.  85 women participated.  Each one with a story more compelling than the last.  We have been posting their stories to WE Magazine since late September and will continue to post until all of them have been showcased.

Part of the competition included being listed in our FIRST EVER Hall of FAME.  These women deserve to be celebrated and applauded for all they have done and continue to do to make a difference to their communities, their families and the world in general. These accomplished women are as different as their professions and ages (from early 20′s to late 60′s).  And yet, each of these women represent someone in a similar circumstance of overcoming a difficult challenge, whether it be loosing a spouse before his time, contracting a life-threatening disease, living in an abusive relationship, divorce,  raising children as a single parent, addiction and more. The challenges are endless and yet these women’s lights continue to shine and make a difference.
