WE Magazine for Women Cover Story Competition!
WE Magazine for Women is THE Magazine for Busy Women on the Move. Being featured on our Cover is an excellent opportunity to Showcase your products and services. On average, our site attracts more than 1,200 unique visitors A DAY! The mission of the COVER STORY competition is to recognize and reward women around the world for their contributions to their profession and the communities in which they work, live and play.
When you enter the Cover Story Competition, you have the unique opportunity to share YOUR story with women around the globe as well as your own back yard. WE Magazine for Women is a digital download magazine with a strong online presence in the form of our online magazine style website and blog.
In fact, there are several ways to gain recognition when you enter the Cover Story Competition. First place winner will receive a two page spread in the Fall 2009 Issue of WE magazine as well as be the FEATURED story on the cover (complete with photo – supplied by entrant) as well as prominently on the website. 2nd place will receive a 1 page spread in the magazine and her photo on the BACK Cover and on the website. In addition 12 women will be featured prominently in a special story in the Fall issue as well as on the WE Magazine website during the launch of the FALL issue. Deadline for submission July 31st, 2009.
Entry in the Cover Story Competition is a great entry into gaining additional media exposure for your company and brand. In addition to being featured in the magazine and on the site, all “winners” will be mentioned in our media releases and on our media page.
ALL qualified entrants will be mentioned in a story by the publisher, on a special thank-you page on WE magazine for women with a link back to the entrant’s website or blog. In addition, each entrant will be given the cover graphic to upload to their website/blog.
Each entry will be judged by a panel of women who currently contribute content to WE Magazine for women, namely our editorial team and contributing editors.
To enter, follow the Cover Contest Competition Rules and submit all content with entry fee no later than July 31, 2009. All complete entries will be considered. Incomplete entries will be discarded and entry fees will be forfeited.
THE RULES
Entry Fees
The fee to enter the Cover Story Competition is $20. For each entry you submit, the $20 entry fee must be paid or the entry will be automatically disqualified. Once the fee is paid, you will have access to the page with how to submit your entry. (VOID where prohibited by law). You may be asking why there is an entry fee? Two reasons. One: to encourge only serious submissions and two: because it takes time and effort and woman power to accept, reply to and coordinate an effort of this size. WE would love to do it for FREE and in the future should we get major sponsorships, we will definitely consider it. For now we have kept the entry fee low in order to encourage businesses of all sizes to enter and to keep it affordable.
All Entries Must:
• Meet all eligibility and deadline requirements.
• Conform to defined submission requirements.

• Conform to all copyright laws.
• Be submitted digitally.

ENTRY CRITERIA
Upon submitting entry fee you will be asked to send the following:
Name and contact email of Person Completing Submission
This can be the Owner/CEO or President of the company or an assignee (such as PR person or staff member)
Entrant Name and Company Title or Position
This is the woman we will consider for the COVER.
ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be a WOMAN to be considered. The entrant does not need to be a small business owner. Entrant can be a business owner or the head of a firm or for-profit organization. (Not-for-profit and non profit executives will be eligible for our Spring Cover Story Contest). All entrants must submit complete information to be considered. All entrants must have a web-presence in the form of a blog or website. Entrant must also be in current position for at least one year.
Contributors and advertisers to WE Magazine for Women may enter Cover Story Competition, however all staff of WE Magazine for Women and or their immediate family are not eligible to enter. In addition, past cover story subjects are not eligible to enter.
ESSAY
Each entrant will be required to submit an essay in the third person between 400-500 words. Example of third person: “Mary Smith owns and operated XYZ Corporation” (not: “I own and operate XYZ Corporation”)The essay MUST include the following information to be considered:
Description of Your Business
List the product or service you sell and the customer/client you sell to.
Description of Your Business Model
How does your company earn a profit? (eg: products such as retail sales, online sales and services such as consulting, coaching, speaking, advertising, etc.)
Years in business/current position as well as years of experience in field/industry.
If relevant, please also include a brief description of former experience before taking on current position.

PHOTOS:
One photograph in jpeg or gif format. Winners will be asked to submit at least one additional photos for the inside story. Entrants will be asked to submit an online link to the photo (photo must be high-quality resolution to be considered for the cover ~ at least 300 dpi of the Entrant).

Please note submission of entry fee and form, etc. does not guarantee you placement in our digital magazine.
