Hiring a Contractor 101

A how-to/instructional video about stress-free home remodelling from Synergy Design & Consulting in Reston, VA

ABOUT THIS VIDEO:

Renovating a home can be very stressful for the entire family, but if approached correctly, it can end  up saving time, money and peace of mind.  The purpose of this video is to help homeowners take control of their renovation projects from the start.  I provide simple steps like hiring an architect or interior design firm to complete the design and selections before contacting general contractors. I also suggest questions to ask contractors when interviewing them and what specific information needs to be included in the contract for the homeowner’s protection.  At Synergy Design & Consulting  (Synergy D&C) we empower homeowners and contractors in working together to create a smooth renovation project from start to finish.

A good amount of information in a short period of time. Interested in finding out more? Please feel free to call us (703) 766-6333 – we’re here to help!

  • Interesting–a contractor of general contractors. It is also extremely important that the contractor with whom you are working is licensed and bonded in the locale in which you reside, otherwise you will be shouldering undue liability.
