Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in Patterson, New Jersey singing in the Sold Rock Baptist.
When did you first know you wanted to be a Jazz singer/mucisian?
I wanted to be a singer since I can remember. I started singing before I could walk.
What was the first tune/song you learned? Jesus Loves Me
What is the most amazing thing that has happened to you on your musical journey?
I have saved myself from depression and despair that happens on the journey of life. I have performed in churches, clubs, colleges and bathrooms. Bathrooms are my least favorite I have not performed at my favorite place yet.
Who writes your songs?
My mom and brother wrote the song on the cd “Maybe We’ll Find Christmas Love.”
What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs?
Usually I sing songs that bring spirit not specific topic but I like to bring feeling or soul to what I sing.
Do you think these topics will change over time? I hope so nothing will ever be static.
What is a typical day in the life of a musician/singer?
Since I am also, an actress I am usually trying to promote myself.
Tell us about any new projects you have coming up.
My mother recently passed away so I’m working on an act in her memory.
What is the biggest risk you ever took professionally and/or the biggest obstacle you have overcome?
I left my career to become a singer. I’ve overcome the obstacle of letting the lack of money control my life.
What are your fondest musical memories?
My fondest memories are singing in the concert choir in high school.
What do you do to keep yourself sharp?
I go work out go Salsa dancing meet as many new people as possible and let stale people go.
What one thing have you done in the past year that has made a significant difference in your life/your business?
I joined Women In Jazz South Florida.
What one thing would you like to learn this year?
I would like to learn how to let someone else manage my career.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Singing all over the world in concerts and acting on stage, on TV or theater.
What do you do for fun/relaxation/entertainment?
I love going to the beach and looking at the water watching fun movies

I am single and would love to meet a wonderful self – actualized Man of color.
