		<description>I was tempted to go with a wacky diet for my New Years&#039; resolution to lose weight, but instead decided to go with an old fashioned calorie budget.  At least If I stick to it, it is something that can be maintained later, w/o freaky food choices.

So far so good :)</description>

		<description>What a great post!  I agree.  Healthier eating, moderation, and the dreaded E word (exercise) are the only things that have ever worked for me.  As I get older, the benefits expand far beyond the number on the scale are really more about how I feel and how I move.  Thanks for putting it into perspective.</description>

		<description>I agree, it&#039;s easier to gain and harder to lose as you get older. 

Not only that, but if you are not used to exercising it will be more difficult to start at an older age.

But still, at any age you can get the health benefits of exercise, as long as you have a program that is not too hard (so you don&#039;t get hurt) or too easy (or you won&#039;t get any benefit.)

I know for sure that I need to personally get more fit but we have been eating tons more whole foods including lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains like Kamut and Quinoa!
