Wow, Pam! I'm both amazed and taken aback at your findings. In fact, I got up in the middle of reading your article and ran to my bathroom cabinet looking for anything on a label that started with a "D." Thankfully, the only one I came up with was DMDM in my body lotion. I hope that one is okay and now I'm going to check the link you provided to make sure. Very informative article but I have to tell you I have worn little to NO makeup all of my life. Even when I was a television reporter and my boss kept insisting I wear makeup, I would throw on a little lipstick with some mascara and be done with it.

Sadly, the media has convinced women that in order to be glamorous we must be skinny AND beautiful–and beauty can only come with makeup.

My mother wore little makeup as a young woman and to this day I am always amazed at how smooth and soft her skin is. I know it’s because she didn’t spend a lot of time plastering her face.
